Position Summary and Responsibilities The Sanitation position is responsible for performing various maintenance tasks to ensure the proper upkeep and cleanliness of BEK buildings.

Strictly adhere to our safety guidelines

Clean all surfaces of assigned areas using appropriate maintenance tools and equipment

Ensure upkeep of designated dock areas to maintain a safe and clean working environment

Perform additional tasks as needed

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements

At least 3 months of work experience preferred

Ability to read and interpret guidelines, operating and maintenance instructions

Ability to receive and follow directions

Ability to multi‑task

Strong attention to detail

Excellent work ethic

High School Diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.) preferred

Must pass drug screen and physical exam

Must be able to pass a background check

Monday‑Friday: 7:30a‑4:00p

Initial Monday‑Friday schedule may change depending on business needs but will be discussed during interview

Physical Requirements

Must be willing to work in all 3 environments: dry, cooler, freezer (freezer temp 10 degrees below zero)

Must be willing to learn and use a cherry‑picker and work in high places (must not be afraid of heights)

Ability to learn to operate heavy warehouse equipment, such as electric pallet jacks and forklifts

Able to stoop, kneel, crouch, and bend

Must be able to tolerate repetitive lifting

Ability to handle product weighing up to 100 lbs

Steel‑toe shoes required

Ability to stand/walk for long periods of time

Must have normal use of shoulders, arms, wrist, hands, feet and legs

The ability to hear, understand, and distinguish speech and/or other sounds

Ability to work through a (+) 8‑hour shift
