Litigation Paralegal
– Direct Hire Opportunity in
Fort Lauderdale
Our client, a defense firm, seeks a self‑motivated paralegal with experience in Construction Defect matters to support a partner.
Responsibilities
Manage case from litigation intake through settlement or verdict.
Prepare correspondence and legal documents including summonses, pleadings, notices, motions, and subpoenas under attorney supervision.
Prepare and respond to pleadings such as complaint, discovery request, and motions.
Prepare discovery requests such as interrogatories, requests for admissions and requests for production under attorney supervision.
Assist with trial preparation: manage trial exhibits, prepare trial notebooks, maintain expert binders, perform jury research, and communicate with experts and fact witnesses.
Conduct legal research.
Maintain and monitor the legal compliance of case matters such as depositions, mediation, hearing, and trial deadlines by maintaining the accuracy of the attorney’s calendar.
Serve as liaison between clients, opposing counsel, retained experts, vendors and witnesses.
Familiarity with billing.
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent required.
5+ years of litigation experience required.
Firm offers a benefit package including Health, Dental, Life Insurance and 401k.
Salary will be determined by experience.
