Outside Industrial Salesperson - MRO - Motors-Controls-Automation

Work directly for our Long Island Based client that is a full service Manufacturer, Distributor & Service company.
Summary - Outside Salesperson - MRO Focusing on the MRO market, guiding our customers through the selection of products and solutions including power distribution systems, industrial controls, PLCs, pumps, and other mechanical equipment.
Territory: Long Island, NYC, Westchester
Job Duties
Schedule outside appointments with existing customers to review application requirements, and uncover new opportunities daily
Generate and develop new business to increase revenue, through prospecting activities including cold calling
Effectively liaise between the company and customers for all ongoing account management activities including quotations, pricing, delivery, technical support, service and new product and promotional releases
Establish and maintain up-to-date knowledge on new products, procedures, services and tools by completing all required training activities
Determine customer requirements to recommend specific products, solutions, or services
Target account planning and execution
Prepare and execute effective sales presentations and demonstrations of products
Annual sales forecast and execution
Attend conferences and trade shows
Job Requirements
Minimum three (3) years of demonstrated sales success and technical knowledge of one or more of the following: industrial controls, PLCs, switchgear, automation, motors and pumps, and mechanical applications, products, and services
At least 2 years of business-to-business sales experience
Desire to grow business through outside sales appointments
Track record of success and achievement as a sales representative
Consistently identify new sources of business
Maintain high productivity and standards
Strong negotiation and communication skills
Strong technical aptitude of products
Motivated to learn
Commitment to quality
Valid Driver’s License
Salary Range - 65-95k base + Commission
