Mission Technologies' Global Security (GS) group comprises live, virtual, constructive (LVC) solutions; fleet sustainment; nuclear and environmental; and Australia business. As a trusted partner to our military customers, HII designs, develops and operates the largest LVC enterprise that prepares warfighters for cross‑domain battle. For more than 40 years, the U.S. Navy has entrusted HII to maintain and modernize the vast majority of its fleet. HII supports the Department of Energy's security mission through the management and operation of its sites, as well as the safe cleanup of legacy waste across the country. Essential Job Responsibilities
Designing and planning network systems. Providing specifications and detailed schematics for network architecture. Providing specific, detailed information for hardware and software selection, implementation techniques, and tools for the most efficient solution to meet business needs, including present and future capacity requirements. Conducting testing of network systems. Maintaining technical expertise in all areas of network and computer hardware and software interconnection and interfacing, such as routers, switchers, firewalls, hubs, bridges, gateways, etc. Evaluating and reporting on new network technologies to enhance capabilities of the network. Minimum Qualifications
5 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 3 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; 0 years experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 9 years relevant experience. Must have a current Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level II certification. Must have had an active Top Secret clearance within the last 24 months. Ability to obtain and maintain DoD TS/SCI and relevant SAP/SAR Clearance. Must have the ability to work a flexible schedule to support customer requirements. Must be a U.S. citizen. Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field. Previous DoD simulation networking experience. RMF knowledge of DISA process. Previous experience with JSE and/or modeling and simulation network systems. Strong network engineering background. Strong working knowledge of Microsoft domain controllers, virtual machines, VMware, ACAS scanning, STIG compliance and layer 2 and 3 network devices. Physical Requirements
May require working in an office, industrial, or laboratory environment. Capable of climbing ladders and tolerating confined spaces and extreme temperature variances.
