Position: Human Resources Generalist

Location: Hybrid, Cleveland, OH

Summary:

The Human Resources Generalist will spearhead day‑to‑day HR operations, serving as the primary point of contact for employee support and leading our recruitment efforts. This hybrid position allows remote work with required in‑person time at our office in the Playhouse Square area of Cleveland. The role is crucial to maintaining workplace culture, enhancing employee engagement, and ensuring HR practices empower staff and align with our strategic goals.

Duties And Responsibilities

HR Support and Service Management: Respond to service tickets covering various HR needs such as policy inquiries, FMLA issues, and benefits support.

Recruitment and Hiring: Lead the end‑to‑end recruitment process, from job postings to interviewing, in collaboration with hiring managers and the Marketing team to boost our employment brand.

Employee Lifecycle Management: Manage all aspects of the employee lifecycle, including onboarding, assisting in performance management, employee training and development, and offboarding.

Employee Engagement and Culture: Partner with the People Officer to drive DEIB initiatives and employee engagement strategies, including applying for workplace awards, planning culture events, and recognizing team contributions.

HRIS and Payroll Management: Oversee our HR Information System, specifically ADP Workforce Now, and manage payroll processing to ensure accuracy and compliance.

Strategic HR Projects: Collaborate with the People Officer on ad‑hoc projects throughout the year, including open enrollment, performance evaluations, annual compensation, and updating HR policies and procedures.

Qualifications

Minimum of 3 years in a Human Resources role, with a demonstrated track record in managing HR functions.

Strong working knowledge of employment laws.

Strong service orientation with the ability to work effectively across various teams, exceptional organizational skills, and a commitment to promoting a positive workplace culture. Working knowledge of ADP Workforce Now strongly preferred.

A people‑first mentality with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to lead with empathy and integrity.
