Cordoba Corporation is a leading engineering and design firm based in California. We are seeking a Contract Specialist to join our Education & Facilities Sector. The ideal candidate will serve as the Bond Program’s lead contract and procurement advisor on an as-needed basis, overseeing all bond-related procurement activities, ensuring compliance with District policies, Education Code, and Public Contract Code. The role also provides guidance and oversight to multiple buyer positions supporting bidding, contract execution, and purchasing processes, and works closely with Program Managers to maintain consistency, transparency, and accuracy across all procurement and contracting functions.

Responsibilities

Serve as the Bond Program's lead contract and procurement advisor on an as-needed basis

Oversee all bond-related procurement activities, ensuring compliance with:

District policies

Education Code

Public Contract Code

Provide guidance and oversight to buyer staff supporting:

Bidding processes

Contract execution

Purchasing activities

Collaborate with Program Managers to maintain:

Consistency across procurement procedures

Transparency in contracting practices

Accuracy across procurement and contracting functions and in documentation and reporting

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Business, Public Administration, or a related field

Equivalent experience in public procurement or contract management may substitute for formal education

Minimum 5 years of experience in California public sector contracting

Preferred Certifications / Skills

Certified Professional Public Buyer (CPPB – UPPCC)

Construction Contract Administrator (CCA – CSI)

Strong working knowledge of California Public Contract Code

Salary Range:

$140,000 to $170,000 per year
