Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and innovative Telecommunications Engineer to join our Value-Added Service team. In this role, you will be at the forefront of designing, developing, and implementing cutting‑edge telecommunications systems that enhance connectivity and meet the evolving needs of our clients.
Duties & Responsibilities
Oversee daily operations of VAS systems to ensure performance and availability KPIs are met.
Conduct software upgrades, updates, patch loading, and testing, along with preventive maintenance and feature rollouts.
Provide operational and customer support, troubleshooting issues to maintain seamless service.
Research, develop, and validate installation method documents (MOPs) to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
Perform periodic service audits to detect inconsistencies, executing cleanup and maintenance to ensure network health.
Participate in regular vulnerability scans and implement corrective and preventive actions as needed.
Stay current with advancements in VAS, LTE, IMS/VOLTE, and 5G technologies, as well as industry and regulatory requirements.
Actively contribute to knowledge sharing within the team, reinforcing a collaborative culture.
Provide 24/7 technical support as needed, including on‑call availability.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Telecommunications Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
Relevant project experience in communications protocols, databases, information security, and telecommunications systems during post‑secondary education.
Familiarity with Linux systems, with skills in development, coding, and scripting, especially in Shell and Python.
Familiarity with TCP/IP, DNS, and protocols like SIP, Diameter, and HTTP is preferred.
Knowledge of Mobile Core, IMS, or VAS network architecture and mobile call flows is advantageous.
Strong diagnostic skills for troubleshooting network issues; analytical, creative, and problem‑solving abilities.
Ability to thrive in a team‑oriented environment, valuing customer focus, accountability, cooperation, respect, professionalism, perseverance, and innovation.
Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, dynamic setting, and adaptable to new challenges.
Able to manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines and deliver results efficiently.
