We are looking for a Rotating Machinery Equipment engineer with at least 8 years of post‑graduation experience in a plant environment. Candidates will be involved in all phases of maintenance, troubleshooting, repair and replacement of rotating equipment.
Responsibilities
Supports the area in achieving key outcomes in safety, reliability, efficiency, compliance, cost and customer service.
Providing technical, troubleshooting, and maintenance support for all production facilities within the area including ASU, CO2, H2, and He regarding all mechanical equipment and rotating machinery.
Provides technical assistance for operations, including direct support and troubleshooting on machinery issues within the area.
Work with Area Controls engineers, Electrical engineers, Planning engineers as well as National Rotating Machinery Engineers to support any respective initiatives or projects.
Review and approve mechanical and machinery PM’s, work instructions, and related procedures and provide feedback and recommendations for changes as necessary.
Review the quality and completeness of mechanical equipment and machinery PM execution at assigned plant locations and provide technical support with planning and execution.
Ensures implementation of Standard PM content for area rotating equipment.
Routinely review mechanical condition‑based vendor data reports and provide recommendations and necessary repair plans for any noted deficiencies to ensure reliable operation (vibration monitoring, oil analysis, thermography, etc.)
Lead the troubleshooting and repair of critical failed mechanical equipment and machinery including MOC guidance, plant/equipment outage decision making, repair plan, and root cause analysis, using OEM’s where required, and ensuring that lessons learned are shared and implemented.
Utilizes standardized turnaround work scope templates in the development of the detailed machinery work scope, budget, contractor management, execution strategy, and quality plans for turnarounds, major maintenance, etc.
Provides direct support in the field for major maintenance execution of machinery scope, using effective quality plans and provide timely close out reports that provide lessons learned for continuous improvement.
Develops multi‑discipline knowledge in relation to rotating machinery applications and contributes to Area Maintenance Strategy development and execution through machinery scope development for major maintenance planning and execution.
Manage and provide technical support to mechanical contractors to ensure accurate scope completion, proper documentation updates, standards compliance.
Ensure that the machinery aspects of the major maintenance plan are kept updated for assigned plant locations functionality in industrial gas plants.
Ensures equipment is fit for purpose through maintenance planning and execution, scope/spares decisions, design reviews, HAZOP, MOC, installation, and commissioning processes.
Complete area machinery technical reviews of MOCs and provide supplemental engineering data, drawings, analysis as necessary.
Monitors history and condition of rotating equipment to determine and prioritize major maintenance scopes and requirements, including obsolescence aspects. Provide business case justifications as required to support required budgeting and timings for assigned plant locations.
Represents the area mechanical reliability interests for machinery related aspects through participation in the proposal and commercialization process.
Provide machinery execution support to the Projects Execution Team for major capital projects and new plant installations within the area.
Participates in reliability audits and Equipment Condition Assessments. Agrees specific actions in collaboration with the Site, Area Ops, and Area Reliability Team.
Provides input and decision making on the repair or refurbishment of major spare parts.
Works with Area Planners and Procurement to identify machinery contractors and vendors.

Knowledge of predictive maintenance methodologies and technologies as well as interpretation of the data (vibration monitoring, oil analysis, thermography, etc.)
Knowledge and experience working with and troubleshooting high speed rotating machinery
General understanding of regulatory and industry standards and codes
Air Separation experience and knowledge a plus
Basic Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering required
7 years of experience with at least 5 years in an operational and engineering environment working with mechanical equipment & rotating machinery.
Ability to travel 30‑40%
