Flannery Construction is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead and oversee construction projects across our portfolio. This full‑time position requires a highly motivated professional who excels in communication, technical knowledge, and leadership. The role involves managing cost, quality, schedules, and safety from project initiation to completion and may require frequent travel to job sites outside the Minneapolis/St. Paul metro area.
Responsibilities
Manage multiple projects: schedule and supervise projects as assigned.
Act as the primary point of contact with owners or on‑site representatives.
Ensure client expectations align with bid documents and scope of work.
Resolve site concerns for owners or owner representatives.
Collaborate with field superintendents, owners, architects and other stakeholders to achieve orderly job completion.
Establish construction budgets; seek bids from subcontractors and vendors to meet project goals and requirements; manage subcontracts and suppliers.
Develop productive relationships with field superintendents that leverage their managerial strengths.
Attend to project details including scope, compliance requirements, subcontracts, billing, invoices, documentation, and change orders using standard documentation and company processes.
Work as a team with field and office staff to achieve mutual goals.
Promote a respectful environment for all team members.
Maintain and develop repeat customers, including those referred by current clients.
Assist in establishing new client networks and developing new jobs and projects.
Assist in creating initial sales proposals and project estimates.
Maintain a polite, professional, and positive image in all company tasks and roles.
Communicate company mission and values to clients and colleagues.
Desired Skills and Experience
Proven ability to manage and close out complex projects.
Strong technical skills including scheduling, estimating, and job costing.
Competence in reading and understanding plans and specifications.
Ability to organize, direct, and track submittals.
Excellent computer skills: Microsoft Office suite, Microsoft Project, accounting software.
Positive and professional attitude; strong work ethic, self‑starter, team player.
Excellent team‑building and problem‑solving skills.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
