Workday Technical Manager - Business Applications - Digital Technology Services
Join Hackensack Meridian Health in leading the design, deployment, and maintenance of enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems across our hospital network. This role is hands‑on, consultative, and focused on aligning technology solutions with organizational goals.
Responsibilities
Implement and maintain the hospital‑wide information system network in accordance with the IT Strategic Plan.
Collaborate with IT management to identify problems, establish guidelines for system integrity, and implement corrective actions.
Establish and maintain standards for system selection, testing, and operational procedure manuals.
Ensure the accuracy, integrity, and security of systems on the information network.
Manage ERP applications supporting Human Resources, Payroll, Finance, Accounting, Materials Management, and Supply Chain.
Oversee multiple platform modules (e.g., Oracle, PeopleSoft, Epic, Lawson, Kronos, Clairvia, IVR, PeopleSoft Hub).
Design, develop, implement, and enforce IT best‑practice frameworks aligned with HMH core goals.
Gather requirements, select technologies, and integrate solutions with existing infrastructure.
Prepare activity reports, manage change management processes, and comply with audit requirements.
Recruit, coach, mentor, and develop a proactive team of direct reports.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or Healthcare, or equivalent experience.
Minimum 8 years of in‑depth technology implementation and support experience, with at least 3 years in a managerial capacity.
Strong knowledge of client/server technology, enterprise architecture frameworks, and SDLC.
Experience with ERP modules (Oracle, PeopleSoft, Epic, Lawson, Kronos, Clairvia).
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Prior supervisory / management experience.
Good judgment in technical decision making.
Preferred Qualifications
15 or more years of PeopleSoft functional experience managing multiple projects and people.
Experience managing one or more modules in a PeopleSoft 9.x environment.
Significant experience leading large, complex projects in a matrixed organization.
