Position Overview CMTA, a Legence company, is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer with 8+ years of experience in Consulting Engineering. This candidate must have a strong and innovative technical background in Electrical Engineering. The role involves designing the electrical aspects of energy-efficient buildings for various clients and complex infrastructure projects, leading teams, managing projects, and serving clients and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and guide design and construction projects internally within the office and externally with clients and contractors.
Provide guidance, support, mentorship, and leadership to staff engineers.
Prepare, read, and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and technical specifications.
Professionally stamp drawings, prepare affidavits, etc.
Interact with owners, clients, architects, and contractors as needed with verbal and written communication; lead and guide meetings as needed.
Evaluate, select, and apply standard engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria to perform assigned tasks.
Confer with other engineers and personnel to complete project deadlines.
Apply knowledge of engineering principles and research, design, and evaluate products, equipment, systems, and processes to meet project requirements.
Design and specify system components to ensure conformance with project goals and requirements.
Research and analyze clients’ design requirements, manuals, and other data to evaluate feasibility, cost, and maintenance requirements of designs or applications.
Review contractor submittals (shop drawings, etc.) to determine conformance with contract documents.
Desired Experience
8+ years of experience with MEP design.
Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering.
Experience with internal and external project management.
Experience in MEP design and specifications.
Experience managing, maintaining, and creating Owner and Architect relationships.
Experience in Healthcare, Higher Education, K-12, and Commercial market sectors.
Experience with Revit/AutoCAD.
