Position Summary
The registered nurse employs critical thinking to integrate objective data with knowledge gained from an assessment of the subjective experiences of patients. Registered nurses use this critical thinking process to apply the best available evidence and research data to the processes of diagnosis and treatment. Nurses continually evaluate quality and effectiveness of nursing practice and seek to optimize outcomes. Medical/clinical knowledge, technical and clinical skills, clinical judgment, interpersonal skills and communication as indicated in the current Comprehensive Accreditation Manual for Hospitals are essential components of nursing practice.
Job Requirements
Two (2) years of last five (5) years’ work experience as an RN must be in Level III NICU with experience in infant resuscitation and stabilization, maintenance of invasive lines, and ventilators, or successful completion of clinical and didactic applicable SRDH specialty training course(s) or program.
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
Experience with infant resuscitation and stabilization, maintenance of invasive lines, and ventilators.
RN – Current license as a Registered Nurse in the State of Nevada.
CT CPRBLS – Basic Life Support – AHA.
CT NRP – Neonatal Resuscitation Program.
STABLE Program certification is required within 6 months of hire into NICU.
Location requires quarterly American Heart Association (AHA) Resuscitation Quality Improvement (RQI) competency certification post‑hire. This ongoing competency is required through resources internal to the facility; outside RQI competency resources are not acceptable.
Preferred
Post‑partum/newborn experience in a family centered unit.
Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
Certification in Specialty Area.

Pay Range $49.96 – $69.30 /hour
