Job Description The UNLV Division of Research is accepting applications for a fMRI Technologist and Lab Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations at UNLV’s fMRI facility, including data collection, analysis, and maintenance of the lab’s equipment and resources. The position serves as the primary point of contact for patient interaction in the facility. Additional duties include the recruitment, screening and scheduling of participants for research projects, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and IRB protocols, oversight of the lab’s website, and management of lab finances and budget. The position is also responsible for mentoring undergraduate and graduate students in fMRI techniques and research procedures.
Minimum Qualifications
Associate’s degree in radiologic technology or a related field from an accredited school of radiology as recognized by the United States Department of Education and/or the Council on Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA).
3 – 5 years of experience in a clinical MRI position.
A valid American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification in Radiography.
State of Nevada License in Radiology.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification accepted by the American Heart Association (AHA).
Training in the operation of MRI equipment and the interpretation of images.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in the radiology field.
Experience operating fMRI equipment.
Experience with research protocols and IRB procedures.
Experience supervising technologists and/or administrative staff.
