This position offers a flexible, hybrid working arrangement.
The Position
Wilson Elser's Milwaukee office is currently seeking an Insurance Coverage/Insurance Litigation Associate Attorney to join its growing insurance coverage group.
Key Responsibilities
Work closely with other attorneys and Partners on insurance coverage matters
Draft coverage opinion and coverage position letters
Draft pleadings, motions, and handle discovery in coverage litigation
Communicate with clients and draft reports to clients Under the supervision and guidance of senior attorneys, proactively manage a litigation caseload, helping oversee cases from beginning to end
Conduct legal research and analysis related to transportation laws, regulations, and legal standards
Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, legal memoranda, and other legal documents
Attend court hearings, depositions, and mediations
Collaborate effectively with colleagues across departments and offices, contributing to a cohesive and supportive team environment.
Draft case analysis reports to client stakeholders with an eye towards developing proactive resolution strategies.
Qualifications
JD from an accredited law school
Admitted to practice in the State of Wisconsin
1+ years coverage litigation experience
Experience in areas of insurance coverage such as coverage opinions (CGL, Excess, Professional Liability, D & O and property)
Experience in both third-party and first‑party claims
Coverage analysis and writing experience.
Superior analytical skills
Excellent written and oral communication skills
