Responsibilities

Assist key stakeholders in achieving CIB strategy and objectives.

Apply knowledge and experience in providing practical, workable proposals/recommendations to credit and operational situations, optimizing the use of GTS products to provide a customer‑centric solution which appropriately manages the bank’s credit risk on new monies, renewal applications.

Provide support and guidance to Key Stakeholders on facility structure, policy and procedure.

Assist in the oversight of the GTS portfolio, assessing appropriate use of products and structures, adherence to credit/global policies & procedures and seeking to achieve positive outcomes in distressed lending situations.

Ensure the maintenance of a stable lending portfolio within policy objectives through the monitoring of high‑risk or poorly performing assets.

Manage and support proposals that control operational risk and assess reasons for operational failures that have given rise to potential operational losses, making appropriate recommendations for change in policy and procedure.

Review and advise on policy, product and operational changes to maintain the integrity of the GTS proposition/book, including revisions in FIM/BIM and local operating procedures.

Review and approve requests for exceptions to product guidelines, with accountability for agreements/recommendations within authorisation limits.

Contribute to the identification of areas for improvement in the monitoring and management of relationships that use GTS facilities and implementation of amended procedures.

Continuously reassess the operational risks associated with the business, taking account of changing economic or market conditions, legal and regulatory requirements, operating procedures and practices, business reorganisations and the impact of new technology.

Continuously reassess the reputational risks associated with the business, taking account of changing economic or market conditions, legal and regulatory requirements, operating procedures and practices, business reorganisations and the impact of new technology.

Continuously review the Financial Crime risks of the products and our customers, taking account of changing economic or market conditions, legal and regulatory requirements, operating procedures and practices, business reorganisations and the impact of new technology.

Work with complex customers across all segments including ABL customers.

Qualifications

Understanding of Trade and/or RF Products.

Understanding of Financial Analysis and the Working Capital Cycle.

DipFS, CITA, UK Finance Qualifications, appropriate Banking Qualifications.

Knowledge of HSBC Group and its product ranges.

Knowledge of compliance (FCC / Regulatory Compliance) requirements.

Proven oral and written communication and influencing skills.

Good business acumen / commercial awareness.

Complex analytical reasoning.

Ability to present information on a one‑to‑one basis and to a group.

Ability to interact with colleagues at all levels.

Resource management skills.
