Our Early Career Program for Field Engineers inspires and guides recent graduates through career‑shaping experiences. The program takes approximately 36 months to complete and involves helping clients locate and produce energy more efficiently. Program graduates have the foundations to make innovative, significant contributions to our future.
Take your career to the next level Partner with the best. As a Field Engineer you will be the key interface between our on‑site teams and the client. You will work technically and professionally, may have the opportunity to lead crews to ensure that equipment is installed, maintained, and started properly, and that job‑site services exceed customer expectations. By making innovative key contributions you will also help create reliable, high‑quality support for our customers.
Responsibilities
Coordinating with crew members to deploy tools and services, including liaison with customers and shore‑based Operations Managers.
Participating in finding solutions to complex technical problems through hands‑on work at the work site.
Preparing, documenting, and receiving outbound and inbound equipment and products, including products to and from the work site.
Providing support for tenders, including data analysis and cost estimates, as well as performing invoicing activities.
Engaging in job shadowing opportunities to develop a holistic understanding of the business.
Qualifications
Graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Engineering (all fields), Engineering Technology, Mathematics, Chemistry, Geosciences, or similar within the last 36 months.
A minimum cumulative GPA of 2.75 on a 4.0 scale (or equivalent).
Fluent in written and spoken English with excellent communication skills.
Legally authorized to work in the United States as a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or temporary resident and will not require employment sponsorship now or in the future.
Good interpersonal skills with an aptitude for teamwork and the ability to guide others.
Demonstrated leadership, critical thinking, numerical, data analysis, and project management abilities.

The hourly rate for this position is $22.50 USD. Baker Hughes pays for all hours worked. The annualized minimum earnings of regular and overtime pay equal at least $90,675.00.
You will be eligible to participate in Company‑sponsored benefit programs, including health and welfare programs and the Thrift Plan (401k). You have a choice of coverage options that best suit your needs.
