Fire Alarm/Intrusion/Access Control Service Technician

Field installation experience in security environments: Fire Alarm /Intrusion /Access Control NICET certification (preferred) Current/valid state Physical Security or Life Safety license Knowledge of NFPA 70, NFPA 72 Work schedule mainly 8 am–5 pm with occasional night shifts Availability for work at heights 20–60 ft on lifts Blueprint and site map reading skills Experience with multiple Intrusion/Access system manufacturers (plus) Excellent customer relationship and communication skills Basic PPE and reliable transportation during training period Computer/laptop/smartphone proficiency; Microsoft Office (plus) Valid driver’s license with clean driving record (no DUI/DWI in last 3 years) Responsibilities

Install, troubleshoot, and repair low‑voltage cabling and equipment in IP Video, Access Control, Intrusion Alarm, LAN/WAN, and wireless LAN systems Run low‑voltage cabling, including concrete wall drilling and limited conduit bending Complete all wiring, connections, and equipment installations to ensure customer satisfaction and contractual requirements Install, repair, or upgrade fire alarm systems and program control panels per building plans and electrical layouts Mount sensors and perform necessary tasks such as drilling holes for cabling in crawlspaces or attics Ensure fire alarm systems comply with electrical and fire codes Conduct operational tests for newly installed fire alarm systems and component devices Adhere to project safety requirements set by Wachter, customers, or OSHA Perform any other duties assigned by supervisor Collaborate with Installation Team Lead or Project Manager on site schedules and timely delivery of equipment Ensure all work complies with current codes and regulations Wachter is a family‑owned company since 1930.
