Job Overview
Hubbell Utility Solutions is in search of an experienced EHS Manager. The EHS Manager will support the Switching & Fusing facility in Leeds, Alabama in furthering Safety goals and Safety Culture. The incumbent will work with site leadership to identify and provide solutions to Safety issues and provide best practice guidance as well as have a proactive approach to drive safety initiatives.

A Day In The Life
Lead and facilitate development of EHS programs, policies, work procedures and training including inspections, assessments, program audits, incident investigations, data reporting, monitoring, report submissions, and on the floor safety leadership.
Provide clear communication about the safety program across all functions and deliver a hands‑on approach to increase engagement in safety practices.
Proactively lead the Company Injury/Illness Prevention Program through identification of hazardous workplace conditions and recommending engineering or administrative controls, in accordance with regulatory standards and company policies and procedures.
Program leadership will include but not be limited to the following areas: respiratory protection, confined space, indoor air quality, office and industrial ergonomic evaluations and noise.
Responsibilities will also include frequent injury / illness data analysis, hands‑on job hazard assessment program leadership and input and monitoring of safety related corrective actions through completion.
Conduct selected safety program audit activities and recommend and drive corrective actions as requested.
Cross‑functional collaboration to push safety initiatives and resolve safety concerns.
Lead Safety Committee both formally through meetings and informally through coaching and influencing safe practices.
Build trust with shop floor employees by engaging with the team daily.
What will help you thrive in this role?
Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental/Health Sciences or related field
5+ years of EHS Leadership experience preferably within a fabrication or assembly based manufacturing facility
Experience proactively implementing safety initiatives and programs
Strong experience in injury prevention initiatives and programs
Strong attention to detail and ability to build trust with shop floor staff
Good communication and presentation skills
Microsoft Office and database skills
Comfortable executing through a hands‑on approach
Work is performed in a manufacturing environment. Frequent heavy lifting, walking, sitting, bending, reaching, kneeling, pushing and pulling.
