Accounting Operations Department Vantage Accounting Operations is a shared services team responsible for accurately and efficiently recording financial transactions while building positive financial relationships with customers and vendors across North America. The team coordinates the entry, review, and approval of day‑to‑day transaction processing in accordance with financial policies and department SLAs, proactively engages in solving problems through close collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, and implements continuous process improvements to maximize the use of technology and education to improve accounting operational efficiency.
Position Overview This role will be based in Denver, CO and aligns with our flexible work policy (3 days on site required, 2 days flexible). Vantage’s North American operations are expanding and the complexity of its finance structure is growing. We seek a resourceful, agile, and detail‑oriented Senior Corporate Accountant to play a critical role in cash, intercompany, debt management, and monthly close processes, ensuring accurate balances and timely reporting. The candidate will collaborate cross‑functionally with Accounting Operations, Treasury, and FP&A, and assist in financial reporting activities.
Duties
Review bank statements and record cash transactions for multiple bank accounts, including payments, receipts, internal transfers, bank fees, and debt waterfall transactions.
Monitor and reconcile a high volume of cash accounts to ensure balances match the general ledger and investigate unusual items.
Collaborate with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and data center accounting teams to resolve incomplete, pending, and irregular third‑party transactions.
Track and report on cash activities at trustee accounts.
Coordinate with Finance & Accounting Systems teams to set up bank accounts in the general ledger and bank reconciliation modules in Yardi, resolving reconciling issues daily.
Coordinate with Treasury for bank reporting required by Corporate Accounting.
Respond to internal and external inquiries about account statuses and transactions.
Assist with real‑estate and business acquisition projects, debt financing transactions, and other non‑routine projects.
Prepare debt‑related journal entries and month‑end debt reconciliations.
Assist with intercompany projects and reconciliations for month‑end reporting.
Document processes and support standardization of policies as the company grows.
Prepare audit schedules and analyses for the year‑end audit.
Provide audit documentation to internal and external auditors.
Job Requirements
Bachelor of Science in accounting or equivalent experience.
3+ years at a major public accounting firm or 5+ years in a relevant accounting role.
Knowledge of cash, intercompany, and debt concepts.
Experience in the real‑estate industry preferred.
Strong understanding of GAAP and internal control environment.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint.
Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, changing environment.
Strong collaboration skills and willingness to “roll up sleeves” to accomplish tasks.
Experience with SOX and internal controls preferred.
Experience with accounting reconciliation software preferred.
Knowledge of Yardi preferred.

Additional Details
Salary Range: $90,000 – $110,000 Base + Bonus (Colorado market).
