What You’ll Do
Generate alpha through investment recommendations based on in-depth proprietary analysis of industrial companies, focusing on small‑cap capital‑goods companies in the U.S. (market cap
Interact frequently with company management, industry experts, and stakeholders to gather differentiated qualitative and quantitative insights.
Partner closely with the Industrial sector team lead, analysts, and portfolio managers to deliver outperformance through stock selection while operating within research processes and portfolio constraints.
Build and maintain detailed financial and market‑oriented models to forecast company performance and assess security valuation, incorporating macroeconomic and industry‑specific factors.
Generate timely, actionable investment ideas and communicate insights through written reports, models, presentations, and investment committee discussions.
Maintain research coverage of existing investments within industrials across multiple portfolios.
Who You Are
5+ years equity investment experience in industrials, preferably with at least 2 years on the buyside.
Proven track record of generating consistent alpha through actively covered investment recommendations.
Advanced knowledge of FactSet and Bloomberg.
Ability to distill and communicate industry data and trends into actionable investment insights.
Skills That Will Help You Stand Out
Best‑in‑class analytical skills and extensive knowledge of the Industrials sector, fundamental company analysis, and financial modeling.
Highly intellectually curious and passionate about investing and public markets.
MBA or CFA highly preferred.
Entrepreneurial mindset; self‑starter with a desire to build a franchise within an Industrials dedicated team.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
Extensive use of AI within security research.
Humility and self‑awareness.
Salary Range $137,000 – $236,000 / year (Non‑Exempt hourly, Exempt yearly).
Time Off Program Flexible Time Off (FTO) is provided to salaried employees, allowing paid time away from the office for vacation, personal or short‑term illness. Employees do not accrue a time‑off bank under FTO and there is no set number of days provided.
Location Locations include New York City, Chicago, Seattle, Denver, or Des Moines. Work arrangement will be determined with the leader to best suit organizational needs.
