We have an exciting opportunity to join our Water/Wastewater team in Pensacola.
YOUR DAY-TO-DAY WILL INCLUDE:
Provides technical and design services in support of civil engineering projects as part of a project team.
Prepares design computations and assessments.
Produces design/construction drawings, technical specifications, and bid documents.
Reports directly to the Project Manager or Project Engineer leading the design.
Responsible for completing design tasks within budget and on schedule.
Prepare quantities for cost estimating.
Engage in comprehensive communication and coordination with the Project Manager and design team regarding design issues and project-related calculations.
Communicate and coordinate with Project Manager and design team on design issues and calculations relating to a project.
Stays current with Local, State & Federal Design Standards and Regulations.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
5+ years of experience in CAD drafting.
Experience with design of land development and public infrastructure projects required.
Proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D and capable of learning other design software programs as required.
Proficient with MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Process-oriented individual with strong organization and technical skills.
Solid communicator, able to take and understand directives from PM and coordinate efforts with design team.
Strong writing and verbal skills; Able to complete work consistently, with moderate flexibility to accommodate varying demands put on them by PMs.
May or may not require a valid driver's license and an acceptable motor vehicle and criminal record.
WHAT MAKES YOU STAND OUT:
Experience with design of stormwater and flood mitigation projects preferred.
ArcGIS skills a plus.
FL residency preferred.
