We are looking for a friendly and dependable Part‑time Associate to join our Smart & Final store operations team at the Santa Clara location. The part‑time associate will support the store in a variety of duties, ensuring our customers receive excellent service and our inventory is accurately maintained.

Responsibilities
Maintain a store section as assigned; order, receive, and stock merchandise using proper equipment, ensure pricing accuracy and product rotation.
Clean and maintain sanitation standards in all interior and exterior store areas and parking lot.
Operate a cash register, receive customer payments, process refunds, and verify eligibility for alcohol sales.
Provide friendly, knowledgeable assistance to customers, offering current store and product information; assist with loading purchases into vehicles.
Perform basic bookkeeping duties, recording lost or damaged goods and supplies with appropriate tools.
Qualifications
Read and write English; interact with the general public and co‑workers.
Read and comprehend simple instructions, product labels, pricing codes, shelf tags, short correspondence and memos.
Write simple correspondence.
Effectively present information in one‑on‑one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees.
Apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions.
Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 lb, frequently 45 lb, and occasionally 60 lb.
Desired Extras
Basic PC/Outlook skills.
Retail Management Certificate.
