IT APPLICATIONS PROGRAMMER IV FOR WORKDAY INTEGRATION DEVELOPER- DIGITAL TECHNOLOGY SERVICES Employer: JFK Johnson Rehabilitation Institute, part of Hackensack Meridian Health.

Location: Edison, New Jersey (4 days/week on-site, Monday-Thursday).

Responsibilities

Effectively share knowledge with and mentor lower level Applications Programmers.

Assist in the validation of work from lower level Applications Programmers.

Assume positions of leadership when using advanced coding methods to create applications that efficiently and effectively perform specific functions.

Code features and functionality based on detailed specifications or an understanding of business requirements.

Recommend technical solutions to complex business problems.

Oversee and be involved in the testing of component functionality, monitor production application performance, troubleshoot and resolve issues.

Develop and maintain internal and end‑user documentation.

Provide technical assistance and/or oversee such assistance during application implementation or maintenance.

Recommend areas for process improvements and input into policy and procedure redesign.

Perform other related duties and/or projects as assigned.

Adhere to the Medical Center's Organizational Competencies and Standards of Behavior.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's level degree or equivalent years of experience in a related Information Technology (IT) or computer field.

Five or more years of relevant experience in an IT/computer field.

Extensive experience with one or more programming languages or frameworks.

Ability to organize and coordinate the actions of small groups to achieve departmental and organizational goals.

Work independently and effectively manage time with little or no supervision.

Strong desktop skills including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and Outlook.

Effective oral and written communication.

Creates and maintains clear, concise documentation.

Collaborates with other team members across the department.

Demonstrates self‑direction.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's level degree in a related Information Technology (IT) or computer field.

Healthcare experience or related field.

Licenses & Certifications

Epic and/or other relevant certification(s) or where applicable, equivalent applications programming experience (e.g., PeopleSoft tools).

Compensation Minimum rate of $131,144.00 annually.

HMH is committed to pay equity and transparency. The posted rate is a good‑faith estimate of the minimum base pay for this role in accordance with the New Jersey Pay Transparency Act. Compensation may vary based on market data, experience, education, certifications, skills, location, internal equity, budget and other factors.
