PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Supports Quality and top leadership with registration strategy and objectives
Establish goals for ISO/IATF Steering Committee and Internal Assessor Teams
Organizes and prepares internal and external Quality Management Review Meetings
Leads internal audit compliance team, process, and schedule
Serves as the subject matter expert (SME) for ISO 9001 and IATF 16949
Ensures compliance with customer mandated QMS requirements and ISO/IATF standards
Works with AM General leadership, functional and process, to assess ISO/IATF QMS compliance risks and opportunities, establish goals and actions to maintain third-party certification, and lead/support the organization with execution of the plan
Supports Business Plan Deployment Process Level 1 - Facilities and Level 2 - Production Shop Floor
Leads internal audit compliance team including training, qualification, scheduling, and internal CAR issuance and resolution management
Supports process owners to ensure AMG processes, procedures, and records are compliant with QMS ISO/IATF standards including standardized review schedule
Review and interpret standards, specifications and customer requirements related to QMS
Serve as a key Subject Matter Expert and source of knowledge for ISO 9001 and IATF 16949
Leads AM General IATF Steering Committee Meeting with planning, maintaining schedule, and measuring, and reporting performance
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
Practical application of ISO 9001, IATF 16949 Experience required
Bachelor’s degree in quality or engineering related role.
ASQ certification is a plus
5+ years’ experience with Automotive and/or Defense industry program and operations level requirements; including the AIAG APQP and other AIAG core tools
1-3 years prior supervisory experience
Extensive knowledge of the functions of quality and compliance as well as a strong understanding of supervision of department processes preferred.
Experience in project management
Strong communication and organizational skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Project, and SharePoint
PHYSICAL EFFORT
Sight: must be able to regularly read computer screen, reports, and various documents with detail and clarity to accomplish work tasks in a safe and efficient manner, including regular use of adequate close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus
Hearing: must be able to regularly hear well enough to communicate
WORKING CONDITIONS
Physical Location: This position operates between an office and manufacturing plant environment and is often assigned to a specific shift or hours. The Employee must be able to perform job functions in an environment with varying difficult work conditions such as extreme cold, heat, inclement weather, at heights, and/or while exposed to constant/intermittent loud noises
Teamwork: This position will work with others to ensure efficiency in the workplace
Listening Skills: This position will need to understand how to use machinery properly and safely to prevent accidents and ensure all tasks are completed accurately
Ability to follow instructions: Managers assign tasks and responsibilities, which vary; this position should be able to follow instructions competently
Methodical approach: Production lines follow a set process, so this position needs a methodical approach to ensure all tasks are completed in the correct order for a smooth-running production line
Concentration: This position may perform the same or similar tasks repeatedly, so a strong level of concentration when carrying out these tasks is important for quality control purposes. This role is often fast paced, so being able to maintain focus at all times is important
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS Minimal travel to AM General remote sites for the purpose of training, conducting compliance audits, and supporting third-party certification audits
