Senior Construction Manager – Cheyenne, WY Accura Engineering and Consulting Services, Inc. invites applications for the Senior Construction Manager position based at F.E. Warren AFB in Cheyenne, WY. The role is focused on overseeing all aspects of large‑scale federal construction projects, ensuring schedule, budget, and quality objectives are met.

Location:

F.E. Warren AFB, Cheyenne, WY Salary:

$100,000 – $125,000 per year (based on experience). Salary and benefits will be discussed during the interview. Must be a U.S. citizen and pass a federal background review and drug screen.

Responsibilities

Oversee all project phases from planning to closeout.

Develop and manage project plans, schedules, and budgets.

Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, and stakeholders to meet milestones.

Review contract documents for schedule compliance and reasonability.

Identify risks, develop mitigation strategies, and ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.

Implement quality control measures and conduct inspections and audits.

Review and approve contractor plans and technical submittals, including schedules, environmental, safety, and quality programs.

Prepare correspondence on Contractor performance, REAs, RFIs, and other technical matters.

Assist with site visits and present to owners’ representatives.

Provide guidance, mentoring, and training to team members.

Negotiate contracts, administer compliance, and resolve disputes.

Monitor construction progress and advise senior leadership of any slippage or delay.

Prepare partial and final payment estimates and verify quantities.

Produce monthly project status reports for customers.

Participate in contract modification processes and prepare scopes for RFPs.

Attend and participate in meetings with customers and contractors.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or related field.

Minimum 10 years of construction project management experience.

PMP certification preferred.

Experience with federal projects, especially U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), preferred.

Strong project management leadership and team motivation skills.

Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills.

Proficient in creating and delivering technical presentations electronically.
