Team Overview Private Wealth Consulting is a team within Private Wealth that partners with branch teams to provide personalized advice focused on financial planning, portfolio strategy, and complex wealth management strategies for high net worth clients.
What You Will Do
Serve as a subject matter expert for complex cases requiring deep technical knowledge and extensive tax planning expertise, understanding how legislative changes may impact client strategies.
Communicate with financial advisors and clients to understand needs, document goals, articulate investment and tax planning strategies, and build relationships.
Lead firm goals, projects, and initiatives to better serve branch teams and clients.
Drive department-wide goals and initiatives to improve client service.
Stay abreast of financial planning concepts, market trends, investment opportunities, and regulatory changes; share expertise with team, advisors, and clients.
Shape and inform high‑net‑worth client advice and guidance related to complex tax planning, and provide input on future products and services.

What Experience You Need
9+ years in the Financial Services Industry.
Series 7 and 66 licenses required within 6 months of hire.
Insurance license required within 6 months of hire.
CFP designation highly preferred.
CPA or advanced degree specializing in complex tax highly preferred.
Bachelor's degree in business, finance, accounting, or law required.
Ability to interpret and leverage firm advice to create tailored solutions.
Proficiency using financial planning software and interpreting results.
Deep understanding of financial planning concepts and application.
Deep expertise in complex tax strategies such as charitable remainder trusts, private foundations, donor advised funds, trust taxation, Roth conversions, pass‑through entity taxation, 1031 exchanges, deferred sales trusts, equity‑based compensation, net unrealized appreciation, business sale considerations, etc.
Ability to explain these strategies and identify appropriate client discussions aligned with financial plans.
Familiarity with implementation for high‑net‑worth clients.
Ability to review client tax returns, estate plans, financial statements, and legal documents to identify tax opportunities.

Location & Work Arrangement Candidates must live within commutable distance of our Tempe, AZ and St. Louis, MO offices and are expected to work in the office three days per week, preferably Tuesday‑Thursday. The role is hybrid; however, if selected and accepted, home‑based status can be retained in good faith, though it may be replaced by on‑site requirements if necessary.
