Assistant Professor or Associate Professor, Computer Science
Join the Department of Computer Science at the University of Central Florida (UCF) as a full‑time, 9‑month assistant professor (tenure‑earning) or associate professor (tenured) in one of the following focus areas: Algorithms & Complexity, Databases, High‑Performance Computing, Operating Systems, and Programming Languages.
The anticipated start date is August 8, 2026. Ideal candidates will be at the rank of assistant professor; exceptional candidates at the rank of associate professor will also be considered.
Minimum Qualifications
An earned Ph.D. from an accredited institution in Computer Science or a closely related discipline by the start of the appointment.
For associate‑professor appointments, a demonstrated record of teaching, research, and service commensurate with a tenured faculty appointment at the rank of associate professor.
Preferred Qualifications
Strong research impact with an upward trajectory as reflected in high‑quality publications and the ability to build a well‑funded research program.
Team‑player attitude to complement existing departmental strengths.
