Job Description Assesses, plans, implements and evaluates the nursing care of Cancer Center infusion services and chemotherapy patients. Provides the care needed as described in the department policies and procedures. Demonstrates the values contained in the Cancer Center and Olympic Medical Center (OMC) mission and philosophy statements. Participates in patient and family education. Maintains standards for professional nursing practice in the out‑patient clinical setting. Expected to participate on a rotational basis in low census in the event Sequim cancer services patient census dictates. May perform emergency care.
Education
Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing required.
Experience
Minimum of two years’ experience in an inpatient or ambulatory medical clinic required.
Oncology chemotherapy/immunotherapy experience preferred.
Licensure/Credentials
Current Washington State Registered Nurse licensure required.
Basic Life Support (BLS) required within 30 days of hire.
OCN certification within 3 years of hire strongly preferred. If not OCN certified, must complete 12 oncology‑based CEs annually or total of 36 in a 3‑year period.
