The Vice President of Commercial Operations provides strategic leadership and direction for all revenue-generating, customer-facing, and brand-building activities of the company. This executive develops and executes the company’s sales, marketing, and customer engagement strategies to drive growth, profitability, and market share in the contract hardware and door manufacturing industry. The VP aligns the efforts of the sales, estimating, customer relations, and marketing teams to deliver exceptional customer experiences, strengthen channel partnerships, and support the company’s long-term business objectives. Key Duties & Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership & Corporate Growth

Develop and implement the overall

sales and marketing strategy

aligned with corporate goals and revenue targets. Collaborate with executive leadership to shape the company’s growth roadmap, pricing models, and go-to-market approach. Analyze market trends, customer feedback, and competitor activities to inform strategic decisions. Lead the development of annual sales forecasts, budgets, and performance metrics. Identify and evaluate new business opportunities, adjacent channels, and market expansions that leverage Door Controls USA’s manufacturing capabilities and strategic partnerships to drive growth and enhance competitive positioning. Direct and support the

Director of Sales

in leading outside and inside sales teams. Oversee sales planning, territory management, key account development, and channel/distributor relationships. Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for sales growth, order conversion, and customer retention. Drive a culture of accountability, collaboration, and customer focus across the sales organization. Participate in high-level contract negotiations and strategic customer meetings as needed. Oversee the

Director of Estimating for Contract Hardware , ensuring accurate, timely, and profitable bid submissions. Ensure estimating aligns closely with production capabilities, costing, and customer expectations. Support the development of standardized pricing models and bid templates to improve speed and accuracy. Collaborate with operations and finance to assess project profitability and forecast demand. Customer Relations

Lead the

Director of Customer Relations

in delivering superior service, issue resolution, and ongoing client support. Champion the customer experience across departments to ensure seamless communication from order to fulfillment. Analyze customer feedback, service data, and lost-bid insights to identify trends, training needs, and opportunities for actionable improvement initiatives. Strengthen customer loyalty and retention through proactive relationship management and continuous improvement initiatives. Marketing & Brand Development

Oversees Marketing’s ownership of the company’s websites, including strategic branding, content development, and project management of web development initiatives. Ensures alignment with corporate identity and digital marketing goals. Guide the

Director of Marketing

in developing and executing marketing campaigns, digital presence, and branding initiatives. Oversee marketing communications, product launches, trade shows, and promotional events. Ensure consistent branding and messaging across all channels, including digital, print, and sales materials. Evaluate marketing ROI, lead generation metrics, and campaign effectiveness to optimize resource allocation. Leadership & Organizational Development

Build and maintain a high-performance culture emphasizing accountability, integrity, and professional growth. Recruit, mentor, and develop leadership talent within the sales, estimating, and customer relations teams. Encourage cross-functional collaboration to strengthen communication and project execution between departments. Cross-Functional Collaboration

Partner with operations, finance, and engineering to ensure alignment between customer demand, production capabilities, and revenue goals. Provide market intelligence and sales forecasts to support strategic planning and supply chain decisions. Promote teamwork and communication between estimating, sales, and customer service to ensure project success and customer satisfaction. Working closely with the Business Intelligence Analyst in regard to sales reports and consistencies. Strategic thinking with strong operational discipline. Proven ability to build, lead, and motivate multi-level teams. Deep understanding of B2B sales cycles, contract hardware, and project-based estimating. Excellent negotiation, presentation, and communication skills. Financial acumen in pricing strategy, margin management, and forecasting. Customer-first mindset with strong relationship-building skills. Data-driven decision making; comfortable with CRM and ERP tools. Strong Excel skills. Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field (MBA preferred). 10+ years of progressive experience in

sales, marketing, or business development

within the

manufacturing or contract hardware industry . Minimum of 5 years in a

senior leadership or executive role

managing multiple functional teams. Proven record of achieving revenue growth and improving profitability. Experience with

customer lifecycle management . Strong leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills. Performance Metrics
