Under direction, is responsible for collection, maintenance, evaluation, statistical analysis, projections and presentation of criminal justice information including, but not limited to, jail population, criminal justice system process flow and problem-solving courts; supervises staff; and performs related duties as required. This position is Excluded from Civil Service. Responsibilities

Charged with the collection, maintenance, and evaluation of all relevant criminal justice system information applicable to jail population, justice system case flow, demographics, performance measures, etc. Utilizes statistical concepts in the collection, maintenance and evaluation of criminal justice system information Advises, assists in the implementation, design, formatting and preparation of raw data. Utilizes existing information system systems, including SAS Software, to prepare statistical reports, summaries, presentations, projections and aggregate analysis as required Coordinates and conducts County performance reviews, organization studies and special studies, and makes recommendations which include, but are not limited to, work process analyses designed to maximize efficiency, effectiveness and long-range planning opportunities As necessary, supervises and trains judicial services analysts Obtains necessary data for the preparation and completion of any required grant reporting Submits required reports in a timely manner to various funding agencies Makes presentations to elected officials, executives, and criminal justice stakeholders Performs related duties as required Qualifications

Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's Degree in Public Administration, Public Policy, Criminal Justice, Social Science, Statistics or a closely related field, seven (7) years' experience in management, research and statistical analysis; or an equivalent combination of education and experience Good knowledge of management analysis research techniques and performance measurements; good knowledge of statistics and content analysis; knowledge of local government operations; knowledge of the principles of statistical analysis, data analytics and reporting, and data management Proficiently skilled in software programs such as Microsoft XP Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook; SPSS, SAS, knowledge in accessing data from SQL and other various statistical analysis software programs; skill in collecting and analyzing aggregate data; strong organizational skills, time-management skills, and be experienced in managing priorities; strong analytic skills; strong presentation skills Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing, including presentation and explanation of data results to diverse audiences; ability to work independently and with a team; ability to work with elected and appointed officials and justice professionals in a tactful and courteous manner; ability to maintain effective working relationships with employees at all levels of an organization Must secure and maintain a favorable background investigation and clearance Must clear a pre-employment physical and a pre-employment drug screen test May be required to work more than 40 hours during the workweek Working Environment and Physical Demands
