Position Overview CLASSIFICATION 711, 712, 713 – Addictions Specialist 1, 2, or 3 – Adult Treatment Team – Bilingual Preferred

FULL TIME (37.5 hours per week). SEIU represented.

Salary ranges:

Specialist 1: $4,848 – $6,184

Specialist 2: $5,342 – $6,818

Specialist 3: $5,890 – $7,521

Responsibilities

Provide outpatient substance use disorder and co-occurring mental health treatment services to adults and their families, including clients on parole or probation and parents involved with DHS Child Welfare.

Conduct substance use and other mental disorder evaluations; individual, group, and family therapy; case management; and community education and consultation.

Offer outreach services across Linn County to those charged with minor drug‑related offenses, including screenings and ASAM assessments, connection to community resources, motivational interviewing, and support entry to treatment and other supportive services.

Work closely with referring agencies (Parole & Probation, DHS Child Welfare) and provide information to the legal system supporting judicial deflection.

Travel to outlying clinics in Linn County and work evening hours as required.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in psychology, social work, counseling, or related field required for Specialist 1; Master’s degree required for Specialists 2 and 3.

Professional or supervised practicum‑level experience: at least one year for Specialist 1; three years for Specialist 2; two years post‑Master’s and four years pre/post for Specialist 3.

Oregon certification: Certified Alcohol & Drug Counselor – Level One for Specialists 1 and 2 with a Master’s degree and Level One for Specialist 1 with a Bachelor’s; Level Two for Specialists 2 and 3 or licensure as Licensed Professional Counselor, Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist, or Licensed Clinical Social Worker.

Must pass a criminal history check and possess a valid Oregon driver’s license with an acceptable driving record meeting County requirements.

Bilingual preference.

On‑site work required; remote work not available.

Additional Information Linn County does not offer VISA sponsorship. Applicants required to complete I‑9 form confirming authorization to work in the United States within three days of hire. Employment authorization contingent on sponsorship will not meet County eligibility.
