The Executive Vice President (EVP) of Sales and Marketing is a key member of the MARSHALLTOWN executive leadership team reporting to the COO. This role provides strategic vision and operational leadership for all sales, marketing, and business development initiatives to achieve both short- and long‑term growth objectives. This position is based in Marshalltown, IA.

The EVP will lead our global sales and marketing organizations, develop high‑performing teams and build strong relationships within the organization and externally. For reference, our company sales portfolio includes 10K+ SKUs and 20K+ customers.

Key Responsibilities Strategic Leadership

Develop and execute a comprehensive sales and marketing strategy aligned with corporate goals, product roadmap, and market opportunities.

Participate as a member of company executive team responsible for business acquisition, execution, and integration.

Identify emerging markets, customer trends, and competitive insights to guide product and pricing strategy.

Manage all aspects of sales and marketing efforts worldwide, including developing strategies, delivering results, team management, and customer‑facing responsibilities.

Strengthen distribution networks and strategic partnerships within all channels. Sales channels & teams under management include home improvement retail, hardware, distribution, contractor supply, eCommerce, international, and B2B (owned website).

Oversee key account management, contract negotiations, and long‑term customer relationships.

Responsible for sales P&L portfolio to contribute to overall company revenue and margin expectations.

Direct marketing responsibilities including corporate marketing efforts, social media, digital creation, technical sales, category & brand management, pricing, and customer service.

Collaborate with product development and engineering to define product positioning, launch strategies, and go‑to‑market plans.

Manage pricing strategies, competitive analysis, and market segmentation to support profitable growth.

Oversee trade shows, promotional campaigns, and digital marketing initiatives to drive lead generation and customer engagement.

Team Development

Build, mentor, and lead high‑performing sales and marketing teams.

Foster a data‑driven, result‑oriented culture focused on continuous improvement and customer satisfaction.

Education, Experience and Skill Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or related field; strong preference for a degree in Engineering or another technical field.

15+ years of progressive leadership experience in sales and marketing, preferably within manufacturing, tools, and/or industrial products industries.

Demonstrated success in driving revenue growth and expanding market share.

Proven ability to lead large teams, manage budgets, and execute strategic initiatives across multiple markets.

Strong analytical, communication, and negotiation skills.

Experience with Power BI and CRM systems, preferred.

Strategic and analytical thinker with a hands‑on approach.

Exceptional leadership and team‑building capabilities.

Deep understanding of industrial distribution, retail channels, and e‑commerce.

Strong customer focus and market insight.

Results‑driven with a track record of achieving aggressive growth targets.
