Oak View Group invites a Senior Event Sales Manager to join the team at Jungle Island, Miami’s premier destination for unforgettable events. Position Summary:

The Senior Event Sales Manager will drive sales and oversee all aspects of events ranging from corporate functions and social events to weddings and exclusive gatherings. The role focuses on developing and implementing strategies to surpass revenue targets while elevating client experiences. Compensation:

$75,000‑$80,000 per year, commission eligible. Benefits for Full‑Time Roles:

Jungle Island is an intimate zoological park and event venue located in Miami, offering the newly renovated Treetop Ballroom, private beach, and picturesque outdoor spaces. It is the destination for a wide range of events, from intimate gatherings to large celebrations. Responsibilities: Develop and execute innovative sales strategies to achieve and exceed departmental revenue goals consistently. Specialize in selling diverse event functions by diligently assessing client needs, detailing event orders, and ensuring exceptional communication and client satisfaction. Actively network within and beyond the venue to identify leads and foster relationships with new and existing clients. Collaborate with the Executive Chef and General Manager to design profitable, competitive event menus tailored to client preferences. Work closely with the Marketing Department to capitalize on additional private events, uncover new business opportunities, and attract potential clients. Meet and uphold company sales standards through effective execution and strategic planning. Position Distinctions For Senior Event Sales Manager: Leadership: Beyond managing a personal portfolio, takes on mentoring and leadership roles within the sales team, especially in the absence of the Director of Catering. Autonomy: Oversees larger, high‑profile accounts/events with substantial revenue implications, often leading contract negotiations and client‑customized requests. Strategic Involvement: Engages in sales strategy, forecasting, and revenue planning, influencing departmental goals and standards. Impact: Plays a pivotal role in Jungle Island’s continued success and growth, setting new benchmarks in event excellence while fostering a vibrant community spirit. Qualifications: Comprehensive understanding of prospecting programs and event revenue optimization. 4‑6 years previous experience with event sales and a proven history of exceeding sales targets and orchestrating complex, large‑scale events. Demonstrated proficiency in leadership, communication, and negotiation. Dynamic personality with high energy and creativity, coupled with keen attention to detail and superb organizational skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, CRM, and Banquet Event Order software (Tripleseat preferred). Team‑oriented attitude with the capacity to build relationships with new clients, employees, and community leaders. Undergraduate degree preferred.
