SUMMARY
Manages and monitors school operations, capital projects and sustainability by performing the following duties. Oversees facilities, maintenance, transportation, health, safety, and security.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Maintain and plan successful operations processes by promoting and implementing design, planning, control, performance improvement and operations strategy.
Support management and acquisition of assets such as buildings, equipment and other capital assets.
Provide management and leadership for capital projects and capital improvements.
Manage project documentation and monitor the progress and quality of the project and work completed to ensure successful completion within agreed upon time and budget parameters.
Responsible for project controls, cost estimating, planning/scheduling, project benchmarking, and financial status of projects.
Guide and develop energy sustainability strategies and monitor energy sustainability performance contract.
Evaluate and audit environmental footprints and collaborate with departments to incorporate sustainability practices and set division-wide environmental conservation goals.
Collaborate and oversee the departments of maintenance, custodial operations, and transportation to implement and monitor efficiency and process improvements.
Oversee the division’s school nurses and health services operations.
Serve as the division’s liaison with the City Election Board and the Events Parks and Recreation Department.
Special projects and other duties assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
Related four‑year degree in engineering, business or school administration or management or equivalent with a minimum of two years related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Preference will be given to candidates who hold a teaching license with school administration endorsement.
Thorough knowledge of operations management, construction, engineering, procurement, and other project‑related activities as well as legal and industry requirements.
General knowledge of standard office procedures and practices. Ability to establish and follow detailed work procedures.
Strong commitment to safety and environmental issues.
Computer skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT Twelve‑month position (260 days) – eight hours per day.
EVALUATIONS Performance on the job will be evaluated in accordance with school board policy and administrative regulations on evaluation of classified personnel.
