Desktop Support Technician
Contract position based out of Birmingham, AL with a pay range of
$20.00 - $25.00/hr . This role will support the migration from Windows 10 to Windows 11 and address a backlog of desktop support requests. The contract runs through the end of March 2025, with a strong likelihood of extension.
Responsibilities
Provide end‑user desktop support across clinical and operational environments during the Windows 10 to Windows 11 migration.
Respond to tickets generated from the migration and deliver levels 1–2 support to users.
Deploy hardware, imaging equipment and perform routine desktop maintenance.
Utilize the ticketing system to track and resolve support requests.
Qualifications
Minimum 2–3 years of recent desktop support experience, with emphasis on Windows 10 or Windows 11 environments.
Proficiency in troubleshooting Windows desktop issues, hardware, imaging, and active directory.
Strong customer‑service and communication skills.
CompTIA, Windows certification or CompTIA A+ is a plus.
