Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced accountant to prepare and analyze monthly financial statements in collaboration with the CFO. This role involves managing full‑cycle Accounts Payable (AP) processes, maintaining and reconciling general ledger accounts, and processing construction loan draws. The ideal candidate will ensure the accuracy and timeliness of financial data in QuickBooks and assist with ad hoc financial projects and reporting as needed.
Responsibilities
Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements in collaboration with the CFO.
Manage full‑cycle Accounts Payable (AP) processes.
Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts.
Process and track construction loan draws.
Ensure accuracy and timeliness of financial data in QuickBooks.
Assist with ad hoc financial projects and reporting as needed.
Essential Skills
Month end financial statement preparation and analysis.
Accounts payable management.
Financial reporting and accounting.
Reconciliation and journal entry skills.
Proficiency in QuickBooks.
Minimum 5 years of experience in accounting.
Construction experience is a must.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Understanding of construction loan draw processes (preferred).
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
Work Environment This position is on‑site, with working hours from 8 AM to 5 PM. You will be part of a dynamic finance team, working closely with the CFO to manage financial reporting and accounts payable activities. The role demands a professional who can operate independently and thrive in a fast‑paced environment.
Job Type & Location Contract position based out of Pikesville, Maryland.
Pay And Benefits Pay: $40.00 – $43.00 per hour.
