Director, Talent Acquisition and HR Operations – Rockefeller Group
General Summary:
Manages the integrity and accuracy of property occupancy to properly process rent and other billings based on leases or other contractual arrangements within Yardi Voyager. Ensures that rental revenue is properly stated in the financial statements.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Prepare and manage monthly billing schedule to ensure monthly invoicing occurs in a timely manner
Supervise billing responsibilities of Sr. Billing Accountant
Develops and assists other Yardi users with creating custom financial reports
Assists IT with the creation, maintenance, and accuracy of any Yardi custom reports
Maintains Yardi straight-line module to ensure accuracy of straight-line rent calculations
Maintains control of revenue billing within Yardi on a regular basis
Prepares, maintains, and distributes occupancy reports for Core properties
Interprets tenant leases to properly administer within Yardi
Prepares and processes monthly journal entries as part of the financial statement close process
Prepares rental income budget to actual variance reports for key Core properties
Maintains Yardi billing records (fixed rent and straight line rent) for all tenants
Processes monthly invoices and statements for tenants of Core properties and for projects of Development properties
Performs monthly closing procedures on all properties
Updates percentage rent sales reports and bill percentage rent, if any
Reconciles tenant security deposits to general ledger
Assist tenants with any billing or general inquiries
Assists in the preparation of upcoming budget for rental income
Assists with special projects and year-end audits as needed
Assist RGI Tax Department with NYC tax filings related to core properties
Prepares J‑SOX documentation identifying key controls related to fixed rent process
Assists in Cash Receipts and Applications process
Performs other duties as assigned
Education Requirements Bachelor’s Degree required; preferred field of education: Accounting
Experience / Knowledge / Skills Requirements
4+ years of billing accounting
4+ years of experience working in either residential or commercial real estate industry
Experience in lease administration and processing fixed rent for real estate tenants
Knowledge of calculating straight line rent preferred
Knowledge of Yardi Voyager required
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel preferred
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Base Pay Range >$105,000.00/yr - $110,000.00/yr Seniority Level Associate
