40 hours per week, First Shift Responsibilities
Direct, coordinate, and administer Ohio 4-H Youth Development's Food Animal Sciences Livestock projects and programs by serving as the primary resource person for issues related to 4-H Food Animal Science projects; conduct annual statewide in‑services; collaborate with the manager of Ohio State Fair Youth Livestock Events, Ohio livestock commodity groups, the related 4-H Design Team, and Advisory Committees; direct, coordinate, and administer 4-H Youth Quality Assurance Programming including statewide annual in‑services and national online Youth for Quality Care of Animals activities; connect with OSU Department of Animal Sciences to obtain and disseminate research findings that directly affect youth animal sciences programming; teach academic courses as needed; provide administrative and direct supervision to support staff and student positions as needed. Minimum Education Required
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience with a degree in animal sciences. Master's Degree desired. Required Qualifications
4 years of experience in a teaching or research capacity, and experience in educational curriculum development are both required. At least 3 years of professional experience in Extension is desired. Salary
$44,400 - $58,000 based on internal equity, unit’s available budget, and the candidate’s qualifications. Benefits
