Job Summary The Physics Program seeks part‑time adjunct faculty to teach introductory physics and astronomy lecture and laboratory courses for physics majors and non‑majors. Part‑time positions are hired as needed, typically each semester.
Responsibilities To teach introductory physics and astronomy lecture and/or laboratory courses (e.g., PHYS 1111, PHYS 1111L, PHYS 1112, PHYS 1112L, and ASTR 2313 and ASTR 2313L).
Required Qualifications
Minimum of 18 graduate‑level course credits in physics or a related discipline.
Candidates must provide information or references that demonstrate teaching effectiveness.
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s or Doctoral degree in physics or a related discipline.
Credentials such as an M.S. in physics that align with the specific courses to be taught.
Teaching experience in lecture and laboratory settings.
Conditions of Employment Offers of employment are contingent upon completion of a background investigation, verification of credentials, and, if applicable, a satisfactory credit check.
