Mission Staffing
The Legal Executive Assistant (LEA) provides high-level support to attorneys by managing daily operations, coordinating projects, and ensuring seamless execution of all administrative and client-related tasks. This role serves as a trusted partner to the attorney, handling communication, scheduling, document preparation, and liaison responsibilities while collaborating closely with other administrative team members.
Key Responsibilities
Manage attorney projects, deadlines, and priorities; coordinate with lawyers and administrative teams to ensure timely completion.
Act as a primary liaison between attorneys, clients, and internal departments; handle inquiries and use good judgment when responding on behalf of the attorney.
Build strong working relationships across the firm; collaborate with LEAs, LAAs, and LSAs to support complex tasks.
Delegate work to LSAs and AskLegalSupport; monitor progress and provide feedback to improve outcomes.
Draft, proofread, and finalize legal documents, correspondence, and presentations; ensure accuracy of final work product.
Maintain organized electronic and paper filing systems within firm repositories.
Conduct research, compile materials for cases and presentations, and coordinate with internal teams to prepare deliverables.
Plan and manage meetings, agendas, logistics, and follow-ups; ensure materials and support are in place.
Oversee billing tasks, including approvals, pre-bills, and coordination with the Billing Department.
Manage complex calendars, meeting schedules, travel arrangements, expenses, and time entry.
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED; 5+ years of administrative experience supporting leadership in a legal or corporate environment.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal; able to convey information clearly and professionally.
High level of discretion and professionalism; handles confidential matters with integrity.
Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to work independently, multitask, and manage competing priorities.
Proficiency with legal software, research tools, Microsoft Office, and AI-enabled applications; adaptable to new technology.
Effective collaborator with strong interpersonal skills; able to build trust and provide constructive feedback.
