Overview
As a Senior Principal Systems Engineer with MTSI you will provide technical and programmatic advice and support services on a suite of advanced weapon systems, sensors, and computer processing related technologies and programs. This position will be located in Beavercreek, OH.
Responsibilities
Providing critical technical advisory support to integration planning and implementation for the DAF PEO C3BM Battle Network, requiring active collaboration across multiple organizations and lines of effort. Extensive acquisition experience, particularly in supporting the development of acquisition interoperability strategies for complex multi‑system‑of‑systems (SoS) information technology architecture; developing SoS matrices; performing integrated SoS assessments; executing the mission engineering process; drafting SoS requirements; developing DAF Battle Network architecture; consulting with numerous program representatives to evaluate functional requirements and supporting government officials in approval of acquisition documents. Provide recommendations on processes and usage of Digital Engineering tools. Support use of tools such as Cameo, Jira, and Confluence. Provide excellent customer support and ability to communicate with all levels of leadership and/or customers. Assist in the coordination for onboarding and offboarding of Mission Integration personnel.
Qualifications
15+ years of relevant work experience supporting cross‑functional teams across an enterprise, combination system of systems. Experience working on classified and special access programs. Must be located within commuting distance of Wright‑Patterson AFB, OH to support in‑person attendance needs. 5+ years of experience working with digital engineering and modern model‑based technologies, such as MBSE or MBD, model‑based definition, manufacturing, and inspection, model‑based services and MRO. Knowledge and experience working in Agile / Scrum teams, including daily standups, retrospectives, demos/reviews; experience with Jira and Confluence. Experience with system of systems analysis, requirements development, and requirements documentation. Experience with modern architecture frameworks and designs. High level of motivation, adept at exploring and learning about new technologies, and demonstrated record of successfully taking ownership and responsibility for projects. Ability to multi‑task, respond to quick turn‑around requests, and produce quality products with minimal oversight. Exceptional written and oral communication skills, able to develop clear, concise, and logically written business communications and deliver recommendations. Demonstrated effectiveness working in a complex, service‑intensive, deadline‑driven environment. Ability to build strong relationships to leverage information and insights across key groups. Strong personal leadership, organizational, relationship‑building, and negotiation skills.
Desired Requirements
20+ years of relevant technical experience. Experience with or knowledge of Homeland Defense concepts, C2 systems, Integrated Air Defense, and Ground Based Air Defense (GBAD) systems. Experience with or knowledge of C‑UAS systems, both kinetic and non‑kinetic. Experience working on‑site in a government client environment. Knowledge of the Air Force Research Laboratory's framework, directives, and policies.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science, or other relevant discipline. Highly Desired: Master's in Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science, or other relevant discipline.
Clearance Requirements
Possess an active TS/SCI security clearance with SCI and SAR eligibility.
