What To Expect Tesla is currently recruiting a motivated and accomplished Engineering Technician who will focus on multiple operations and duties during their shift while providing data to engineering staff. The successful candidate will safely and efficiently operate equipment necessary and perform materials and electrode process and testing. This position is responsible for performing battery electrode fabrication experiments, material and electrode testing, basic equipment troubleshooting and preventative maintenance, product packaging and loading/unloading finished goods and raw materials.
Shift Hours: Monday thru Friday, 8:00 am – 4:30 pm
What You’ll Do
Display a positive attitude and practice strong work ethics that reflect the mission, philosophy and goals of Tesla
Manufacture batches in accordance with all safety, quality, and efficiency standards by following written SOPs and verbal work instructions by engineering and leadership teams
Perform battery electrode fabrication process following written SOPs and support engineering staff perform experiments
Perform materials/electrode testing and provide data to engineering staff
Operate equipment and instrumentation to monitor pressure, temperature, and other conditions
Wear proper personal protective equipment (PPE), respirator for extended periods of time
Perform quality control testing as required on product
Perform calibrations and preventative maintenance procedures on experimental and production process equipment
Maintain accurate documentation
Maintain clean and safe work area and support other projects as needed by management as business needs change
What You’ll Bring
Associate’s Degree in Engineering, Technology or Sciences, or equivalent experience. Skilled trades certificate and/or relevant military experience preferred
Demonstrated knowledge and experience with operating and calibrating meters/controls, level & pressure sensors, materials and electrode testing
Strong mechanical aptitude to conduct preventative maintenance and troubleshooting on calendaring equipment, rotating, mixing, and pumping process systems
Demonstrated experience following written/verbal standard operating procedures (SOPs)
Demonstrate basic math and computer skills
Pass pulmonary function tests and physical exam for respirator use

Expected Compensation $27.36 - $53.58/hour + cash and stock awards + benefits
Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
