Credence is currently seeking an experienced Systems Engineer (Cloud Infrastructure) to ensure DoD cloud hosting environments are adhering to organizational values and department regulatory requirements. This role focuses on delivering secure, compliant, and high‑performing solutions across commercial and DoD cloud environments, ensuring mission‑critical operations and innovation at scale. Must hold active
SECRET clearance
and relevant
GCP, CSP, and DoD 8570 certifications. Responsibilities
Designing, deploying, and managing cloud‑based systems on GCP Collaborating with cross‑functional teams to define, design, and deliver new features Monitoring system performance and ensuring high availability of cloud services Troubleshooting and resolving issues in development, test, and production environments Implementing and managing CI/CD pipelines to enable efficient software development and delivery Ensuring compliance with security and data protection policies Providing training and support to team members on GCP best practices and tools Requirements
Must possess an active
Secret clearance Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field Five (5) years of professional experience in the engineering field with strong cloud expertise Proven experience working with Google Cloud Platform, including services such as Compute Engine, App Engine, Cloud Storage, Cloud Functions, and Kubernetes Engine Strong understanding of cloud architecture and design principles, including networking and security best practices Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or Cloud Deployment Manager Proficient in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) and managing configuration management tools Understanding of DevOps methodologies and CI/CD processes Excellent problem‑solving skills and ability to work independently as well as in a team environment Strong communication skills with the ability to convey complex concepts to various stakeholders Certifications
DoD 8570 IAT II (i.e. Security+, SSCP, etc.) Google Associate Cloud Engineer or Google Professional Cloud Architect Additional CSP certification Benefits
