Job Description

Cyber Village Academy has an opening for a student advocate working with general education and special education students. The ideal candidate has worked with children and is comfortable with technology or learning new technology platforms. The candidate is interested in a flexible, small school environment working with a close team of teachers, paraprofessionals and service providers. Job Responsibilities

Work directly with students in classrooms and in small settings to provide academic and behavioral support to students Provide direct support, interventions and track data to support students in their overall development and academics as stated in their IEP’s Take direction from and work with case managers and teachers to support classroom activities for the whole class or for particular students Active member of students’ IEP team to support ongoing growth and development Share in the supervision of Study Center Complete written work as directed by supervisor based on the needs of the students Other duties as assigned by supervisor Qualifications

Excellent ability to build rapport and positive working relationships with students and teachers Patience and calmness with students of all abilities and personalities Competent technology and writing skills Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Associated or Bachelor’s Degree preferred, otherwise meets requirements of a “highly qualified paraprofessional” Reports to: Special Education Director Pay: $20-21.50/hour plus benefits Schedule: 8 am - 4pm Monday thru Friday Full time Calendar: Academic Calendar - all staff days (Approximately 175) BIPOC candidates are encouraged to apply.
