Our equity analysts cover some 3,000 stocks; our economists, strategists and fixed‑income analysts cover all major regions and other asset classes around the globe.
Our Sustainability Research team analyzes and publishes research reports on a range of Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) topics, including areas like climate change, environmental regulations, the circular economy, and diversity. The team is responsible for aiding sector analysts in assessing and understanding how Sustainability themes and topics could impact the financial performance and valuation of their covered companies. The team also engages regularly in strategic conversations with institutional investors and corporates around how to effectively implement Sustainability into their businesses. We are looking for an experienced Associate to join our Sustainability Research team in New York, NY.
Responsibilities
Assist in the preparation of research reports across a range of ESG topics, including conducting primary research and data gathering.
Monitor and track research published by US analysts to aid in idea generation around fixed‑income and governance ESG themes.
Work with various sector analysts on collaborative cross‑sector research reports.
Assist in managing and executing department‑wide ESG publications and data initiatives.
Monitor and track sustainability‑related news flow.
Assist internal sales and trading teams and external clients with research requests, as well as the communication of published research reports.
Qualifications
Minimum 2‑3 years of financial services experience.
Passion and interest in ESG and sustainability.
Experience in financial analysis, with strong business and financial acumen.
Knowledge and understanding of financial statements and Excel proficiency.
Adaptability, effective multi‑tasking, and the ability to work well under pressure.
Ability to work independently to produce accurate, detailed materials while meeting tight deadlines.
Intellectual curiosity, strong work ethic, and a team‑player mentality.
Knowledge of quantitative modeling / regression analysis techniques, and ability to code in Python or R is a plus.
