The Sweetman Lab in the Department of Ecosystem Science and Management is seeking a lab assistant position for research examining the impact of macroplastic pollution on freshwater ecosystems in central Pennsylvania. Duties
Designing and conducting experiments examining macroinvertebrate community establishment on macroplastic litter Field sampling (streams, mesocosms, sediment coring) Sorting field collected samples (macroinvertebrates) Data entry and microscope work Miscellaneous lab research duties Opportunities for individual research may also arise. This job requires that you operate a motor vehicle as a part of your job duties. A valid US driver’s license and successful completion of a motor vehicle records check will be required in addition to standard background checks. Diversity & Inclusion
