This consultancy assignment strengthens UNICEF’s engagement with faith‑based and membership organisations, leveraging integrated offerings on non‑financial engagements and developing a thought‑leadership strategy.
Scope Of Work
Strengthen financial partnerships with faith‑based and membership organisations, incorporating their influence as part of the value offering.
Coordinate peer review and approval of adapted toolkits for faith and membership partners.
Develop and implement an advocacy engagement plan in collaboration with Global Advocacy colleagues, including workshops and resource support for partners’ internal audience positioning.
Co‑ordinate UNICEF’s participation in key faith‑led thought‑leadership opportunities, prepare engagement and participation plans, and plan Faith Leadership Circle events.
Develop a comprehensive toolkit signposting existing advocacy and social behaviour change assets accessible to faith and membership partners.
Deliverables
Directory on SharePoint with guidance note for fundraising colleagues (by end Feb 2026)
Faith‑specific engagement plan aligned with DGCA activations and funding propositions (by end Mar 2026)
At least two peer‑reviewed social and behaviour change toolkits (by end Jun 2026)
Written strategy document with calendar of faith‑led events (by end Jun 2026)
Documentation for two online and one in‑person Faith Leadership Circle events (by 14 Nov 2026)
Final report summarizing achievements, challenges, lessons learned, and actionable recommendations (by 14 Nov 2026)
Reporting Requirements
Submit monthly progress updates to the supervisor.
Deliver all outputs in accordance with the agreed timeline and quality standards.
Provide a final report summarizing achievements, challenges, and recommendations.
Travel Clause
All UNICEF rules and regulations related to travel of Consultants apply.
All travels shall be undertaken only upon the prior written approval by UNICEF.
Consultant must be fit to travel, hold a valid UN BSAFE certificate, have required immunisations, and a valid travel/medical insurance as per UNICEF travel policy.
Qualifications Education
Master’s degree or higher in international development, theology, fundraising or related fields.
Alternatively, a bachelor’s degree combined with two additional years of professional experience may be accepted.
Experience
Six (6) years of relevant professional experience in partnerships, communications or advocacy, including experience with faith‑based organisations.
Demonstrated experience in advocacy or social behaviour change and event planning.
Excellent communication and organisational skills.
Language Requirements
Fluency in English is required.
Knowledge of another official UN language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian or Spanish) is an asset.
