A Snapshot of Your Day As a Supplier Quality Engineer Blades and Vanes, your day will be filled with engaging interactions with suppliers, analyzing data, and driving continuous improvement. You'll collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure the highest quality standards are met, while fostering strong relationships with our valued suppliers. How You’ll Make An Impact (responsibilities)
Lead product and process qualification activities (PPQs) for turbine blades and vane components at suppliers. Contain, manage, and resolve quality issues related to non‑conforming components identified at AGT Siemens Energy facilities, warehouses, or global customers. Drive supplier root cause investigations and corrective actions through the Problem Resolution process. Investigate and resolve manufacturing capability issues within the supply chain to ensure business continuity. Audit existing and potential suppliers to verify manufacturing capability and ensure robust quality systems. Develop supplier capability to meet current and future requirements while supporting cost reduction opportunities and process improvements. What You Bring
Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent education/work experience) in Industrial, mechanical engineering, materials science, or a related field. 5+ years of professional experience as a Manufacturing Engineer and/or Supplier Quality Engineer in qualifying suppliers for casting, machining and coating. Strong knowledge of Quality Management Systems (ISO9001), Supplier Quality Management, inspection methodologies, and quality improvement tools (8D, 5 Whys, Ishikawa). Expertise in manufacturing processes, drawing interpretation, and collaboration with design engineering to ensure manufacturability; experience with hot blades and vanes at casting facilities is a plus. Proven ability to manage complex investigations and projects end-to-end, including PPQs and supplier quality issues; SAP proficiency is a plus. Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer‑sponsored work authorization.
