The candidate will be responsible to work with a dedicated advisor or a team of financial advisors and staff to help provide outstanding service to our clients. It will assist in managing and organizing office workflow with an emphasis on creating and delivering a unique client experience that defines and differentiates advisors’ practices. This position will consistently follow high standards of business and professional ethics and legal and regulatory requirements when dealing with others and/or performing work activities.
Key Responsibilities
Assist Ameriprise financial advisors in servicing clients including preparing basic financial plans, conducting investment research and completing trades and transactions (money movement, new account opening, etc.) as described by the advisor.
Prepare and summarize client meetings by scheduling and confirming meetings, creating the agenda and summary of meetings and providing necessary follow-up.
Prepare and ensure new business paperwork successfully submitted which includes preparing forms, obtaining appropriate signatures, preparing documentation to send to home office, tracking new insurance/annuity applications and coordinating rollovers.
Prepare for and coordinate marketing events which includes creating marketing compliance documentation.
Provide general administrative duties such as answering the advisor’s phone, processing expense management reports, preparing routine client correspondence, setting up client files, copying new business correspondence and alerts.
Assist advisors in increasing their social media presence (Facebook & LinkedIn) with relevant and timely content.
Help clients enroll/serve on various Ameriprise tools.
Required Qualifications
Willingness to go for licensing certifications as needed (SERIES 7 and possibly also for State Securities, State IAR, State Insurance).
Willing to work evening hours: 8:00 pm to 4:30 am (9:30 am to 6 pm CST).
Graduate in finance discipline (0-1 year experience or 1 year diploma is preferred).
Good communication skills.
Basic understanding of MS PowerPoint, MS Excel and MS Word.
Exposure to financial products like mutual funds, insurance, retirement services, etc. would be an added advantage.
Must have an eye to detail with high accuracy levels.
Ability to meet strict timelines per the agreed SLAs for advisor practices.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience of interacting with advisors or U.S. business partners.
