Job Overview
The Senior Director Channel Commercialization will lead the development of the channel commercialization strategy and channel‑specific commercial plans, working closely with parent company personnel to understand their objectives and devise mutually beneficial initiatives that drive results for both Coca‑Cola Consolidated and the parent company. This includes leading teams in the creation and communication of general market and customer‑specific initiatives such as the Look of Success, New Product Innovation, and Thematic Retail Promotion programs.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Meet regularly with parent company personnel to review proposals for commercial plan elements including LOS, Innovation, Promotion, and bottler committee routines.
- Lead the channel commercialization team in developing annual commercial strategies and plans, coordinating with other marketing senior directors to ensure resource alignment.
- Develop monthly commercial initiatives to drive sell‑in of the corporate commercial plan and meet business objectives.
- Collaborate across departments to improve effectiveness of commercial strategies throughout the organization, emphasizing Product Supply, RGM, Sales, and Service.
- Work closely with Customer Teams, Sales, and Service in the market to assess initiative effectiveness and identify improvement opportunities.
- Direct, motivate, and develop a team to deliver results, communicating company goals and deadlines, engaging teammates through performance management, coaching, and training, and embodying company purpose and values.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
- Process thousands of inputs, recommendations, and considerations into organized, executable strategies and initiatives.
- Collaborate cross‑functionally with senior leaders to develop measurable objectives that drive business results.
- Develop overarching strategies and detailed initiatives to support those strategies.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to lead a team positively and exert influence.
- Experience in strategy development is imperative; frontline sales and management experience in the beverage industry is preferred.
- Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications.
- 7+ years’ experience leading a team.
- 7+ years’ experience managing a P&L.
- 7+ years leading in CPG.
- Demonstrated ability to develop strategic initiatives and build execution plans.
- Demonstrated ability to multitask, manage, and lead multiple projects.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate and work with senior executives.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (4 years) in Marketing, Business, or a similar applicable field.
- 7 or more years of related work experience.
